FREIGHT FACE ORLANDO PIRATES FOR FIRST TIME THIS SEASON
Fishers will head to Orlando to take on the Pirates in first meeting since move
ORLANDO- The Fishers Freight will face the Orlando Pirates for Week 9 of the IFL season. Both teams are coming off of losses to the Green Bay Blizzard, as the Pirates faced them in Week 7 before their bye week, and the Freight faced them last week.
LAST TIME OUT
The last time these two teams met was last season on June 7, 2025 in Fishers when the Massachusetts Pirates visited the Freight. Fishers took a 40-23 loss that night. Their only other meeting in franchise history resulted in a loss and the Freight's only overtime game ever.
SCOUTING REPORT
Orlando comes into this game off of a bye week. Previously, they lost their last two games to Green Bay and Jacksonville respectively. Their 3-2 record puts them right behind the Freight in the conference standings.
STANDINGS CHECK
The top four teams in the Eastern conference standings are all above .500, including both the Freight and the Pirates. Green Bay and Jacksonville sit ahead of them, and they are joined in the West by Vegas, Arizona, and San Diego. However, Jacksonville and Orlando have only played five games so far while Green Bay and Fishers have played seven, and the remaining +.500 teams have played six.
